Over The River & Through The Woods...

"You're a good good Father, it's who You are..."
Have you ever experienced something so metamorphic that you felt the possibility of ever returning to your old self was impractical? What if the change you were undergoing was actually for your own personal benefit?

For the last seven weeks, I have been surrounded and enveloped by an amount of love I have never found anywhere else. It's the kind of genuine love you hope to find in life by more than just one person. Inside these woods, I have been loved. I have been encouraged. I have been inspired. I have been changed.

During my first week at camp, I found myself in extreme doubt. I began questioning myself and wondering why God would send me to this place for the entire summer. About mid-way through my first week at Glisson, I was introduced to this verse multiple times...
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared for us in advance to do." Ephesians 2:10

Once my campers arrived and I was given the ability to guide them throughout their camp experience, I finally began to realize that my job this summer has been in God's plan for my life this entire time. I have learned to no longer question myself because in the end I would be questioning God. His plans far exceed the ones I have for myself.

So if you are wondering where I have been or what I have been doing... I have been loving life and loving what the Lord is doing in my life. I have been forever changed by this place and the people within this community. I have learned how to live and live freely. I hope you can do the same.

With Love & Laughter,
Alison
